    • We are so happy to help you in the faith formation of your child.

Forming a child’s faith is an important job that begins at home. As parents, you are your child’s primary educator of faith. A child’s faith develops through the examples and real life lessons given them by their parents, family and friends. In addition to the spirituality a child experiences at home, children also need to have a firm academic understanding of their Catholic faith to truly embrace it. Our Religious Education program is designed to support your family by providing your child with an academic understanding of their Catholic faith as well as assisting you to guide your child to becoming a moral, spiritual and faithful person.

Our weekly program uses the Christ Our Life (Loyola Press) curriculum for grades 1st – 6th and Chosen (Ascension Press) for grades 7th - 8th.

Our curriculum teaches that Jesus is the one around whom each of our lives is centered. It encourages prayer and guides children to a deeper personal relationship with Christ, by teaching them how to live out their faith in their daily lives and in communion with the Church. We integrate Scripture, Catholic doctrine & tradition and the Church’s social teachings into each lesson.

First Grade - Introduction to Catholic Faith, basic prayers, Holy Family, Christmas & Easter Narratives
Second Grade - Sacramental Preparation for First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion
Third Grade - Nicene Creed - What we believe as Catholics
      Fourth Grade - Ten Commandments
      Fifth Grade - Seven Sacraments
Sixth Grade - Salvation History - The Old Testament
Seventh & Eighth Grades - Sacramental Preparation for Confirmation
    Volunteering
    • Volunteering

We could not run a successful Religious Education program without the support of our volunteers.  All of our Catechists (teachers) are volunteers.  Our volunteers are made up of parents and parishioners that understand the importance of passing the Word of Christ onto the next generation.  This is a vital ministry of our parish.  We invite you to join us.

Parents of current students are required to volunteer for at least one of the following: catechist, catechist aid, substitute catechist, door security, hall monitor, hospitality, office help, parking lot help or Children’s Liturgies.  We waive the fee for CCD parents that volunteer as Catechists.
